Purchased earlier this year an LA Plus from1993 - LA 10-93 129 only one prior owner to myself.
The rear pick up was faulty so replaced with an Jailhouse Rock stacked, tappable humbucker - looks like the Kent Armstrong it replaced with the exception of chromed "rails". During replacement the front pick up failed (both due to corrosion) so that was replaced with the neck variant. As well as the wiring and pick up replacement the trem was professionally re-set as it was set a bit wonky. No major dings or buckle rash - light fret wear - super action and buzz free
The new pick ups have a much lower drop in output when tapped, but I just cant settle with the sound - the guitar is naturally a touch brighter than I prefer.Comes with original hardcase and paperworkHave to make room for new guitar - hence low starting price - postage includes insurance COLLECTION PREFERRED - CASH WOULD BE NICE
