Beautiful 2002 Gibson Les Paul Standard Heritage Cherry BurstWITH FREE SHIPPINGThis is a stunning example of one of Gibson's finest Les Paul Guitars.Many people consider the 2002 - 2006 Les Paul Standards to be the very best of recent years.In 2002, Gibson revamped the Les Paul Standard with certain, more vintage features compared to Standards of recent years past. These changes included the use of nickle hardware, push-in bushing Kluson tuners, thin binding, correct vintage-era gold top hat knobs and Burstbucker Pro Alnico V pickups.The 2002 Standard also received a AA maple top, as opposed to a plain top.These Standards are not chambered and retain their signature mid-range growl. The 50's style neck is very comfortable and not overly chunky - it just feels very nice. This guitar plays wonderfully without any neck, buzz or electronics issues.I had it set up by a professional luthier immediately after I purchased it.It's great looks and it's pristine condition are attributed to the fact that this guitarhas always been stored in it's case and has never left my house sinceI bought it brand new in 2002.These particular Les Pauls came with the pick guard unattached to the guitar from the factory.There are no holes in the guitar to attach the pick guard, so they would have to be made.All electronics are original and the plastic covering is still installed on the rear access covers.The binding seems to have aged beautifully over the past 14 years and has taken on a slight cream color.There's really not enough that I can say about this guitar; it's beautiful and it plays and sounds wonderful.
