The thin U maple neck joins the body with neck-thru construction, which makes for a comfortable neck heel and does wonders for the sustain. The ebony fretboard has 24 extra jumbo frets with a 400mm radius and pentagram inlays. ESP did a great job of dialing in the fretwork - even with the low action, there are no dead spots or buzzing frets. The 35" scale length provides a taut, snappy feel and works well with low tunings. A set of EMG 35DC pickups pump out loud, clear and rich tone. Gotoh tuners and the Gotoh bridge provide tuning stability no matter how hard you play.
