Here is your opportunity to own a rare, USA-built, White Steinberger Q4DB bass. This bass has the early version #1 body, which is rarer and harder to find. This Newburgh- built bass was originally finished in bright white, but as is common, the color has shifted to a beautiful cue-ball ivory color. Definitely a rare-bird in this condition. This bass was just restored and set-up by Jeff Babicz, who was the former head of production at the Steinberger Sound factory in Newburgh, N.Y. Jeff dressed and polished the frets, disassembled, cleaned and lubricated the bridge, and serviced the electronics. This is a "real" USA Steinberger with a one-piece carbon fiber neck. This bass has the highly desirable DB bridge which allows the player to pre-set a lower note for the E string. This is accomplished by simply flipping the lever on the bridge. This bass performs amazingly, and is one of the cleanest Q4DB basses that we've seen in many years. Jeff's abilities in Steinberger restoration are always gorgeous. Now that this restoration work has been completed, this beautiful bass should need no further attention for the next 25 years.A perfect playing bass that's been serviced by the world's top Steinberger tech, it now plays and performs as well as (or probably better than) the day that it first left the factory. This Steinberger Q4DB bass will ship in its original black gig-bag with a new black cotton strap and a copy of Jeff's work-order. Purchasing your Steinberger from a trusted source is important when dealing with these advanced technology instruments. Shipping is $75.00 within the USA's lower 48 states.
