For sale is an incredible vintage Mosrite electric guitar. This is the Mosrite Ventures Model II guitar, and is a transition model with the serial number B 167 placing it's manufacture sometime between August and December of 1965. In true Mosrite fashion this guitar has a German-carve top, deluxe “Mosrite” stamped pickups, and an advanced Vibramute-inspired tailpiece. Tonally this guitar is super pronounced, with a huge amount of clarity and very responsive bottom end. The clean tone is phenomenal in both the bridge and neck pickup, and they maintain their pronounced and detailed quality even while overdriven or distorted. The neck is slim and fast playing, and this guitar is truly the golden standard of a "fretless wonder", with smooth playing barely there frets. Cosmetically this instrument is in good to very good condition, with scratches across the body and chips along the edges of the instrument. There is a gouge on the neck right below the headstock (refer to photo) which is noticeable during playing, but doesn't overly effect movement across the neck and is not a hindrance. Included with the guitar is a hardshell case which appears to be the original based on the design, material used, and fit with the instrument. This is truly an incredible vintage guitar that is not only fairly rare and unique, but might be one of the best playing and sounding instruments we've had come through our hands. *If you have any questions regarding the instrument or wish for more specific photographs feel free to contact us, we will be happy to oblige*
