The Yamaha BX-1 bass is VERY rare and i think i am in correct in saying only produced for a couple of in the 1980'ss. In the 25 years i have been in the music industry this is the only one i have ever seen.So what makes it so good.........Unlike other small body basses it has a horn, so the bass actually sits in the right place and you don't have to stretch to reach frets 1 and 2.The pick ups have coil taps, so you have the best of both world, single coil or humbucker tone, by pushing the tone control to change.Condition is good for a 30 plus year old bass.........There are some cracks in the finish around the jack output socket, some other minor dings but good for its age.The frets have a little ware, but flat wounds have been used which are kinder on frets.The action is in my opinion the low side of low, certainly lower than all the other basses i own.Its also comes with its original case which is a little tatty.
