The bottom bow and bow cap are in very good condition. The bell of the instrument shows no signs of ever being pulled, with the gold wash largely intact. There are two very slight dimple dents just below the seam where the bell connects to the bow, but they are hardly noticeable. All of the keys and rails are in good original condition. The forked E-flat has not been corked or vented over. It has the fingernail file table G# key and rolled tone holes that distinguish the Conn saxophones of the 1920s. The neck of the instrument is in good condition, with two very minor wear spots. All in all, the horn is in terrific shape, both structurally and cosmetically!This instrument was recently serviced by a professional technician at Musician’s Repair and Sale instrument repair in Indianapolis, Indiana, where they replaced some corks and made some minor adjustments for smooth and level key action. It has not had a complete overhaul, so the pads are older, but they are all still in good enough shape that they seal well. The original mouthpiece and case are included.
