It is lightly stamped "used" on the back of the headstock. This designation means the guitar has a minor cosmetic blemish. It is a completely playable instrument with no sacrifice of tone, structure, or playability. This particular guitar has a subtle rippling appearance in the finish if caught at just the right angle under bright lighting. The clearcoat is actually perfectly flat and smooth to the touch, so this is not something that can be felt, and it is quite soft to the eye. There is a small scuff on the rear edge of the headstock tip and a scuff or buff-through in the finish on the corner of the neck heel. I have included close-up photos of these imperfections. Aside from what I have described, this guitar is in flawless condition.
