The Fiery Furnaces, and Others Call (888) 407-2717 or (615) 613-1389 for more infoPlease scroll down to see all 41 HD photos!Blues Vintage Guitars Inc. is proud to offer this 2005 Gibson SG Special in Like New condition, except for the multitude of indie artists who have autographed the guitar in silver Sharpie, and the black straplocks! Artists who have signed the guitar include members of The Frames and The Fiery Furnaces, singer Tracy Bonham, and several others. Of course, if you prefer not to keep the signature collection the ink may be cleaned off with a paper towel and an appropriate solvent (we recommend Bestine.)The 2005 SG Special features all-mahogany set neck construction with a dark heritage cherry finish and a clean rosewood fretboard, Gibson Deluxe tuners, and a calibrated set of Gibson 490T and 490R humbucking pickups. These medium-hot Alnico II pickups are patterned after the original PAF humbucker but with a bit of extra upper midrange bite and four-conductor wiring for coil splitting possibilities. Anchored to the SG’s horned, beveled, solid body these pickups are bell-clear and gutsy with a gritty breakup and mean overdrive tones. Set-neck sustain and the dark warmth of mahogany let notes ring out as long as your finger will vibrato. A three-way selector and independent volume and tone controls are clustered neatly in the corner of the guitar, easily within reach, next to the ¼” jack. There are no chips or breaks, dents, scratches, or other damage on this guitar. There are some swipe marks on the pickguard and a hair-width, wispy mark here or there but it’s still in better than shape than a lot of “New” instruments that have been hanging in a big box store. Includes deluxe Gibson gig bag. Please take a good, close look at all 41 high resolution pictures below and don't hesitate to contact us directly (phone call is preferred) with any questions, concerns or corrections.
