A beautiful recreation of the famous 1930's Mastertone banjos. Recording King has done an amazing job picking out from beautiful flame maple for the Elite 85 banjos. They have chose to use hearts & flower inlay down the ebony fingerboard. The double cut headstock is one of the best looking headstocks we have seen from Recording King. Once we got the banjo setup and off the tech bench it was obvious to us this is not your typical off the shelf Recording King Banjo. RK has went above and beyond to make sure this instrument is worth its price tag. Steam bent 3 ply maple rim, Gotoh tuners, nitrocellulose finish and the inlay work are just the beginning of what makes the Elite-85 a fantastic banjo. Recording King is only producing 30 maple banjos in the series, so the chances of running back across one is very slim. *Specifications*
