Stella Vintage Banjo-Guitar 1930’s ???? This is a Stella banjo guitar, build in the 30’s. When Stella was an American made instrument company under the Oscar Schmidt ownership. Stella was sold to Harmony in 1939. I have not found another instrument like it but guitars using this headstock, can be found. Stella guru, Neil Harpe, has never seen another instrument like it, so this is a rare bird! Restored with new ebony fretboard and nicely dressed frets, new bone nut, new rosewood bridge, StewMac Golden Age tuners, new natural skin head and new Gator Case! Some overspray on the neck and resonatorresonator resonator resonator. Pot diameter is 13", Scale is 25", and the neck width at nut is 1 3/4". The banjo guitar has been completely disassembled, cleaned, polished and reassembled. It does not have an adjustable truss rod but the relief is perfect. The instrument plays very well and sounds great. New Gator case is a perfect fit.
