Also included with instrument:
- heavy duty flight case (with black padded lining)
- simple nylon guitar strap with strap locks installed
- small printout with description of recommended string gauges to purchaseMeasurements:
Signature Archtop Cittern Specification (in inches)
Fingerboard width at nut - 1 13/16
Scale length - 23 1/2
String spacing at bridge - 2 1/4
Overall length excluding strap pin - 37 7/8
Body width - 14 13/16
Depth of sides at tailpin - 3 9/16I recently had the instrument inspected, and there is a slight bow to the neck. This doesn’t affect the playing in first position, but does induce a slight fret buzz when you play higher up the neck. If you are an advanced player using the whole fretboard and would like the instrument in tip top shape, it requires a re-fretting and re-surfacing of the fretboard. My local shop, Elderly Instruments of Lansing, MI, estimated this job to cost $480. I have reduced the price of the instrument to accommodate this repair cost. I would be happy to deliver the instrument to this repair shop directly if it was your preference to have the work done at Elderly Instruments before receiving it. My sale price is for the instrument as is.
