This is the sleek  G6139CB Center Block Falcon model from the Gretsch professional series. Players have been asking Gretsch for a semi-hollow model for a long time and they've certainly delivered. This is a lean & mean Falcon that sounds as good as it looks, providing classic semi-hollow body tones, sustain & feedback rejection, but with a tonal character that's ALL Gretsch!  Another little tweak that I know a few Gretsch players have been asking for is a Falcon model with the 50's vertical logo combined with 60's style FilterTron pickups. It features a beautiful 1 ¾”-deep single-cutaway three-ply maple body with a 16”-lower bout, arched top and back, multi-ply sparkle appointments and oversized f holes. The centerpiece of the model is a long spruce center block.The center block runs the entire length of the body and imparts several sonic advantages. First, it minimizes body-resonant feedback and allows a more “high gain-friendly” performance. Second, it’s made of spruce, which produces a spirited, lively tone. Third, the center block itself is chambered at the lower bout to minimize weight.
