Description
Hi there! Thanks for looking. This is a pair of Audix 35102 microphone preamp / equalizer modules. These were pulled from a great sounding working racked system. They are the Rev2 version of the module, which will need to be racked with an additional gain stage (and power source). All electrolytic capacitors were replaced in 2001 with high quality components (Panasonic, I believe. I can check if you like). Both mating edge connectors are included (in the photos, they are attached).Cosmetically, they are a bit scuffed in spots, although the faceplates still look good. One module is missing the (blue) LPF knob cap. All hardware is present, except for a few of the original machine screws which hold the side panels on. Please let me know if you have any questions at all. Below I have pasted in some info from a similar listing...----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The preamp section of the 35102 sounds clear and punchy. There is plenty of gain available for ribbon mics. The discrete eq section sounds subtle and smooth unless you really crank it. Each eq band has a broad bandwidth.Audix, Calrec, and Neve built broadcast consoles for the BBC according to BBC specifications. They also used the same transformer vendors. The 35102 modules have Marinair T.1447 mic input transformers, Marinair T.1448 line input transformers. These modules have 80dB of gain! Gain is controlled in 5dB increments by an Elma rotary switch. On the rotary switch is a dual concentric pot which allows you to fine tune your gain between increments. There is an internal relay which switches between the mic and line transformer thereby eliminating the need for separate hard-wired mic and line inputs. The eq section has rotary switches with dual concentric pots. The eq points are identical to the Neve 33114 and Calrec PQ1161. EQ points include: High (shelf) 3.3k, 4.7k, 6.8k, 10k, 15k Mid (bell) 270, 390, 560, 820, 1.2k, 1.8k, 2.7k, 3.9k, 5.6k, 8.2k Low (shelf) 33, 56, 100, 180, 330 High Pass 27, 47, 82, 150, 270 Low Pass 3.9k, 5.6k, 8.2k, 12k, 18k
