This is a stunning guitar finished in transparent purple lacquer!! The quilt maple highlights the color on the front of the guitar. The back of the guitar is finished in a deeper shade of the same color showing less transparency than the quilt maple front. The string through body is mahogany with a quilt maple top. The 22 fret neck is maple with an ebony fretboard. The front of the headstock also has quilt maple. This King V has awesome gold including string ferrules, Gotoh tune o matic bridge, Gotoh tuners, metal pick up rings, control knobs with purple abalone, screws and recessed Dunlop straplocks. The single humbucker is a very versatile Seymour Duncan SH-5 that is perfectly voiced for blues, rock and metal clarity. It is wired with a push pull volume knob so that the pick up can work in series(standard) or parallel when the knob is pulled up. When in standard series mode (knob down), you get all the power and clarity of a humbucker in the bridge position. When you pull up on the knob switching the pick up to parallel function and the amp set for a clean sound, you get the single coil sound like the neck and middle single coil pick ups on a Fender Stratocaster. It is so cool to have this kind of function from a single humbucker!!! The volume knob also still works as the volume control when you turn it. The second knob is a standard tone control. The neck is the 24 and 3/4 inch scale with a 1 and 5/8 inch nut width, an excellent low action string set up, thin neck contour and 10 to 16 degree compound radius fretboard making this guitar very playable! The neck has diamond shaped pearloid inlays. It has a custom made V wing shaped truss rod cover on the headstock as seen in the photos.
