This is the all new G5655T-CB Semi-hollow body guitar from Gretsch! This a radical redesign of the “double jet” concept. While the guitar has the body shape of the standard Electromatic Double Jet, the construction is entirely different. It features a true semi-hollow body design with 5 ply maple top, back & sides. The result of this design is a very well balanced, light weight and lively sounding guitar. The G5655T-CB keeps with the tradition of the Electromatic series offering a great playing and sharp looking guitar with killer tone and an affordable price. These are simply phenomenal guitars with classic Gretsch vibes and tone but the addition of a “center-block” of spruce increases sustain and feedback rejection. The quality, fit & finish are outstanding with great fretwork and professional level setup. The “Black-Top” Filter’Tron bridge pickup is punchy and bright and handles gain and overdrive really well. The new Dual-Coil SUPER HiLo'Tron offers the warm woody tones of the classic “Hilo” single coil but with increased output and noiseless operation.*Though not included from the factory we have hard cases for this model in stock and ready to ship along with your order.
