Purchased this awesome Road Worn telecaster a year ago, and it has only been played a few times and in the exact same condition I received it in. The guitar started out as a 2015 Fender Road Worn 50s Telecaster and was custom relic'd and upgraded by CrossTown Customs. This guitar has the look of a true vintage tele. Below is the description of what was done to the guitar.This CrossTown Customs TW52 started life as a light (7 pounds 2 ounces) 2015 factory Fender Road Worn 50s Tele, and was transformed into an authentic looking and playing Custom Shop quality '52 Telecaster through the TimeWarp process of aging and relic work. It is incredibly realistic in its look and tone thanks to the custom work and Fender USA 52 Reissue pickups. This Fender guitar would cost $3,500 or more if it came out of the Custom Shop and not Crosstown Customs'. The work that went into it takes this guitar to a whole new level. The amount of checking and player wear makes it look truly authentic and is usually found only on a real 1950s model, or Masterbuilt guitars. The Nitro on the body is thin and allows the wood to resonate, just like Leo wanted it, and will continue to age. The neck was aged to look a true workhorse, and the original decal was aged to look like it is above the finish, just like the original. Part of the TimeWarp process is to remove the serial number and stamp it into the heel of the neck (see images), which adds to the aura and keeps the important serial number with your guitar.The pickups were upgraded to a set of USA Fender Original Vintage, which are stock on the AVRI 52 Telecaster's, and they're a $120.00 upgrade. There is full cloth wiring on the CTS pots, as well as a repro 1950s drop cap and a USA Switchcraft output jack upgrade. Relic slot head screws were used to complete the look, but one of the best features is a random 1950s serial number stamped on the USA Fender Pat. Pend. bridge with compensated brass saddles. It comes complete with and a USA Fender G&G tweed case, as well as the unopened case candy, leather Levi's guitar strap and the box the pickups came in.While it's a relic, it was created to look this way and there are no issues... and it's better than the day it left the Fender factory.
