Broadwood Antique Square Piano With An Exquisite Figured Mahogany Case C.1844 A beautiful John Broadwood and Sons square piano made in London circa 1844, serial number 57762. Figured mahogany case in excellent condition, fretwork panelling, turned and faceted legs and pedal lyre, original 6 octave keyboard, the instrument can still be played but would require restitution to return it to original working order. A fine example of this rare period piano. Dimensions L 180cm x W 80cm
History Established in 1728, John Broadwood and Sons is the oldest and one of the most prestigious piano makers of all time. Their instruments have been enjoyed by famous composers and musicians such as Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart and Liszt.
