Description Product Description This G&L USA MJ-5 features an old school tobacco sunburst finish, a gorgeous quilt maple top and an empress body. The 5-string C neck is maple, and it features a rosewood fretboard with 21 medium jumbo frets and side inlays only. Electronically, this bass is the perfect fusion of vintage and modern. It's decked out with two of G&L's bi-coil alnico V pickups, which are an updated version of the tried and true single coil alnico design. Each pickup features two side-by-side coils configured in series-humbucking mode. These are wired up to G&L's 18 volt, studio quality M-spec preamp and control system, which has controls for volume, pan and +/- 14dB 3-band EQ with center detents. This innovative setup can provide great classic single coil tone, but it also offers another world of more modern sounds to tinker with.
