DESCRIPTION:Up for auction is a VINTAGE FENDER USA 1976 Black GEDDY LEE JAZZ BASS 3-Bolt Micro Tilt GUITAR Body which is very rare and all original.This Vintage Fender USA GEDDY LEE Jazz Bass Body is the REAL DEAL!   It is NOT a re-Issue (ri) item! I was told by the original owner that this 1976 Fender USA Black Jazz Bass Body is a GEDDY LEE model body, but I am not 100% positive.   If you have any information concerning this Fender USA 1976 GEDDY LEE Jazz Bass guitar body, please let me know so I can enter the information and update this listing.

This auction is for the Vintage Jazz Bass Guitar Body only, even though a mounted Jazz Bass guitar neck is shown in a few of the posted pictures.There are many other Vintage parts from this Fender USA 1976 Jazz Bass guitar that will be listed and sold separately (see my other items for sale).NOTE!  AGAIN, this auction is for the Fender Vintage USA 1976 GEDDY LEE Jazz Bass Body ONLY!!!   Please see my other items for sale for the neck and other original vintage parts that came from this guitar that I have posted for sale.This Fender JAZZ BASS Body has the ORIGINAL Fender factory finish, but since the body finish was very dull, and had lost its original shine and luster, I gave the entire body a very light spray coat of Nitro High Gloss lacquer and after about a week of drying time, I buffed it out and polished it out.
 
This Fender USA 1976 Jazz Bass Body is in real nice condition for a 40 year old Jazz Bass guitar body and it has no major cracks and only a few very minor nicks and light scratches that were mostly removed when the body was buffed and polished. At one point, the original owner had a Leo Quan Bad Ass Bridge mounted on this guitar body.  After a few years, the Bad Ass bridge was removed and the original Fender 1976 Jazz Bass bridge was reinstalled.  The Bad Ass bridge is a lot wider and longer, so the wide edges of the Bad Ass bridge left a light imprint on the guitar body, but the imprint was mostly removed when the body was given the light spray coat of Nitro high Gloss lacquer and then buffed out and polished.  The old Bad Ass Bridge imprint can hardly be seen any longer.The Leo Quan Bad Ass Bridge has the same screw pattern and is a direct replacement bridge so no new holes needed to be drilled in the guitar body when this new bridge was installed.  Now that the original Fender 1976 Jazz Bass bridge was reinstalled, there were no new extra holes to fill and the body is still in its original shape and original condition with no new holes drilled in the guitar body.The Jazz Bass body weight is around 7 pounds 2 ounces, and the neck pocket is a standard Fender 2 1/2 inches wide.This Jazz Bass Body comes complete with the original Strap Buttons, and the original 1976 Vintage Jazz Bass Bridge.  The body also has the original Pickup and Control Cavity brass shielding and grounding plates with the original soldered grounding wires attached to the shielding plates (see posted Pictures).  The Bridge grounding wire is also included!
