For sale is a Boosey & Co. compensating cornet with a presentation engraving. The cornet is in very good condition. No dents, 99% of silver plating is there. Valves have good compression if using heavy oil. All the slides pull. Serial number is 44245. Bell engraving says: Class A Patent Compensating Pistons Boosey & Co Makers 295 Regent St London 52210 The presentation engraving reads: PRESENTED BY NUMEROUS FRIENDS & ADMIRERS TO MR. LEONARD MILES LATE BAND MASTER OF THE LONGTOWN BRASS BAND IN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF PAST GRATUITOUS SERVICES WITH BEST WISHES MAY 1898 Comes with a soft case. No mouthpiece. I don't think the crook is original but fits well.
