When Gibson® designed and built the ES-335 it was a hit. This Haywire Custom guitar contains some of the best elements of a Gibson® 335 and a Strat®. It's our version with some refinements. You can add your requirements and it will be a true custom guitar to your specs! The ES-335 model guitar was a big hit for Gibson®. With its semi-hollow carved top body and F-holes mated to thick-toned P.A.F. humbuckers, the 335 is a classic that has stood the test of time. The Haywire F-335 Custom combines the best elements of a Gibson® 335 and a Strat®. The lower bout is not as wide-it's only 12-7/8 inches, giving it better balance for playing while sitting or standing. The thickness and 24-3/4" Gibson Scale is the same as the 335, and the back is solid Mahogany wood shaped and cut out like a Strat® with a comfort cut for a closer fit to your body. The one piece solid back is also carved out to make it hollow. The top is a book matched flamed Maple and is available in either translucent cherry or vintage honey-burst. The neck is slim with a Gibson® 24-3/4 inch scale and feel with 22 frets. The all Mahogany set 22 fret neck has a gloss"vintage style" finish and bound rolled edges with a 16" radius, and Dunlop jumbo frets installed. The Rosewood fret board is highlighted with abalone dot inlays. The body finish is Beautiful ! Yes-This is the actual guitar in the photoIncluded:PICKUPS

The fingerboard, or playing surface of the guitar neck, is usually curved or radiused across its width. The purpose of this radius is to accommodate the natural ergonomic shape of your fingers when they are in playing position. Comfort is certainly a major factor in selecting a fingerboard radius but it is not the only factor. Musical Style... the fingerboard radius must also allow you to play the style of music you prefer.
