The cabinet and grill cloth are in very good condition, with only minor scratches and dings (see pictures). There are a couple of small holes in the grill cloth. There is a ding on the lower edge of the speaker cabinet (see picture of bottom of cabinet). The plastic corners are all there and in good condition. The gold piping has good color. There is some yellowing of the white piping. The chrome on the trolley is in good condition with only minor scratches and no pitting or rust. The electronics are all original. The amp has been tested and everything is in good working condition. The bass, treble, and volume controls function correctly, with little or no static. The reverb is strong (Surf music was popular when the Berkeley was introduced). The tremolo speed and depth both work fine. The MRB (Mid Range Boost), which is actuated from the footswitch, works very well. (3 button footswitch is not included). The AC cord has been replaced with a three-wire plug and cord with ground for safety. This amp is a very nice piece and hard to find! Most importantly – It sounds great!! The solid state Vox electronic designs from the ‘60’s Thomas Organ era use an inter-stage transformer that gives a tube-like distortion and compression to the sound.
