The Taylor GS Mini-E RW Rosewood is the ultimate musical companion, wherever you go — or stay. Inspired by the big, bold sound of the Taylor Grand Symphony body shape, the Mini scales things down without skimping on sound, packing lots of tone into a comfortable size and giving you a guitar that's incredibly fun to play. The Sitka spruce top is paired with layered Indian rosewood back and sides, which blends tone, aesthetic beauty, and durability, all at an appealing price point. Catering to the incredible sound of this fun-sized guitar, the GS Mini-E RW is supported by bracing that's specifically voiced for the GS Mini, and features the tone-enhancing Taylor Relief Rout which allows the top to vibrate more freely without sacrificing structural integrity. The ultra-playable short scale (23-1/2") sapele neck is topped with an ebony fingerboard that boasts 5mm dot inlays.Although you can add an the aftermarket soundhole ES-Go pickup to the GS Mini models that are strictly acoustic, the GS Mini-E RW comes right out of the factory with onboard Taylor Expression System-T (ES-T) electronics, which gives players more control over their sound and a more dynamic response. The ES-T is a single-source, under-saddle transducer with individual elements for each string. It comes equipped with an onboard preamp, a custom-voiced EQ and the same active controls found on the full Expression System for enhanced tone shaping capabilities. To combat the feedback associated with amplifying acoustic instruments, the pickup is loaded with a bulit-in phase switch, which is discretely located on the preamp board inside the soundhole. The ES-T electronics are powered by a 9-volt battery, and features a battery life LED power indicator that lights up when the battery is being used.The surprisingly big acoustic voice and the ability to plug in and play on demand makes the GS Mini-E RW a great choice if you're looking for a travel guitar to take with you on the road, or even just a smaller, more comfortable guitar to keep around the house.
