The 55-02 is equipped with our familiar MM/J pickup configuration and custom 3-band preamp used in the US-made 55-94. The controls on the 55-02 are the same as on the 55-01 and the master volume pot can be pulled to bypass the active preamp. The 55-02 has a 3-way toggle for coil splitting. The 44's and 55's have that deep Lakland cutaway on the high register side of the neck that allows easy access to ALL 22 frets up the neck for throwing licks on top of your grooves. And we have said it before: 35-inch scale necks make for killer low B's! That is why the low tones on Skyline 5-string basses boom with piano-like clarity!Plecked in Chicago and sent to us!
