Near mint vintage 1978 Music Man Sabre II in great all original condition. Vintage 1978 Music Man Sabre II in great condition. The body and neck dates are from 1978. Great piece of Leo Fender history and super to play! Strat shaped body, an improvement on the Stingray model with belly cut for comfort. It is equipped with two Leo Fender designed humbuckers, a hard tail bridge, with a built-in pre-amp to produce a variety of sound variations with treble / bass control, Bright switch, the phase-out switch. There are very few marks, but they are there. Near mint, clean shape. Lots of truss rod adjustment margin, frets remaining about 80%, it is really a nice find.These were made for only a short period of time, between '78 & '82, making this particular model first year of production. Cool vintage vibe with some gorgeous figuring in the body. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it plays and sounds terrific. Again it has various minor surface scratches, no buckle rash. All original - pots correctly date to 77/78 - all electronics are in perfect working condition.Very quiet (no single coil hum) and low impedance, meaning it pushes a strong signal through long cables and effects boxes without losing highs. It can be made to sound like a Gibson Les Paul or a Strat. This comes from my personal collection. In nice ultra-plush red-lined alligator hard case.
