Vintage Syrian oud by Foad Haidar made in 1989 and professionally restored. Small cracks in top have been repaired and there is no warping etc., no separations in bowel and neck has been reset. The oud is VERY solid and stable and the inlay is all intact.  The large rosette is not original but was beautifully carved by hand from rosewood and a light colored wood for the center. The abalone inlay on the back of the neck is unusual for a Syrian oud, so might not be original. The tuning pegs work very well and appear to be apricot? a definite upgrade. The fingerboard is even and the action at the neck/body joint is approximately 3.76 ml. as best as I can measure with a ruler. The scale length is a true Arabic scale at 61 CM. The bowel is about 51 X 36 CM. Please refer to the attached photos; no returns do to age of the oud. The video was recorded directly into a laptop, so the recorded sound is not the best. Also, the strings are quite old. The oud has a deep and mellow Arabic sound. Will ship in an old case for protection and be packed securely, making sure to protect the peg box.
