This was the best limited run PRS has ever done. I've always loved the look of PRS guitars but never liked the tone and feel until I came across this one. With the combination of the nitro lacquer and upgraded pickups, I was blown away. The pickups are Seymour Duncan Seth Lover in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Jazz in the neck. This is the best pickup combo for this guitar that I've ever heard. Not the 57/08's, which to me have a lot of hype and is why guys are swopping them out and selling them. The Duncan's make the guitar sound fantastic clean. You can get anything from a big round jazz sound to a nice thumpy strat sound when using the coil split knob. Overdriven is a given, clear articulate notes everywhere on the fret board. This guitar even sounds amazing when played acousticly which I think is due to the nitro. It resonates like no other guitar I've had.The top is Paul Reed Smith's premium top surpassing their "10" top. If a Gibson R9 had a top like this it would go for 7K+. Beautiful rich flame and wood grain, with some nice mineral spots as well. I don't know why all PRS flame tops aren't nitro, but I guess that's one reason why this one is special. The photos don't do this guitar justice at all, when you receive the guitar, you'll see what I mean.The neck is a wide fat which is perfect and comfortable adding to the guitar's sustain. The tremolo is amongst the best and the locking tuners keep the guitar in tune.She's in excellent condition with minor signs of where on the top that are no unnoticeable, I couldn't make it visible in the pics. There is a scrap along the top edge of the headstock ( check photos) and under the tone pot is a socket wrench rub mark that isn't visible unless you remove the knob.
I thought I'd never sale this guitar but my influence for the past 2 years has been strictly old school acoustic clean jazz so it's primarily been in it's case but this PRS is ready for some serious rock'n.Comes with original case that shows matching serial number of the guitar and case candy!
