Vintage Supro Trojan S6616 Amp: Original, Recapped, Great Blues Garage R&B Tone!
Estimated price for orientation: 549 $
Category: Guitar Amplifiers
Class:
Description Brand: Supro
Awesome little bedroom or practice amplifier! Really nice tremolo (and footswitch), original Jensen speaker. The amp was recapped about ten years ago I would guess, but I'm selling it as it just doesn't get used, and it should! Breaks up just like you'd want it to; a real vintage circuit and components makes for a real vintage sound. Output tube is a single 6V6, so I'm guessing around 5 Watts? NOT a quiet amp for its size. There is slight background hum; I would describe it as completely normal for a vintage amp and a non-issue when actually playing.Cosmetically I'd call this a "7" or so; no major issues, just 50 years of gentle wear (I haven't dated the amp, but I'm fairly sure this series (the turquoise cosmetics) was only made in 1966.Feel free to write with further questions and I'll answer to the best of my ability! "Handling cost" is for full insurance, which I think is essential with all vintage audio gear.
