This is a full size accordion with a 19 1/4" keyboard, five sets of bass reeds and three sets of treble reeds. All notes sound, even the highest piccolo reeds and the lowest bassoon reeds. The keyboard is level, fast and quiet (no "clacking" of the valves).
There are five bass registers. The low register in the bass sounds amazing (the richest and deepest acoustic accordion sound I have ever heard); lowest reed in the bass is A. There are no chord reeds available with this register (on this register, only the single biggest bass reeds are open for the bass and counter-bass rows of bass buttons). The other four bass registers do include the four rows of chord buttons along with the bass and counter bass rows (as found in "normal" stradella accordions). These registers include the master (all five sets of reeds), "normal" low bass (two biggest sets of reeds), and two other registers with combinations of the two smaller sets of bass reeds.
All reeds appear to be in great shape. The leathers are supple and lie flat. I see no rust on any reeds. The reed wax looks good; there is no cracking. The electronic pickup system includes both the newer 1/4" jack type (on the bottom) and the older screw-on type (on the top). I was only able to test the 1/4" connection, and it appears to be working (volume and tone controls for treble and bass). There is also a control knob for tremolo, but I could not get it to work.
This accordion weighs 24 lbs on my bathroom scale. I would like to keep this accordion just for the amazing bass sound, but can't because we are downsizing. SHIPPING: I pack well in padded double-walled cardboard box with a slot cut for the handle of the accordion case. If shippers have a handle to carry it by, then there is much less chance they will drop it! I have indicated $130 for shipping to Canada and the USA (Ebay needs a dollar value for this box). But the actual cost to ship (Canada Post/US Postal Service) will be about $100-$160, depending on the buyer's location. If you are paying by Paypal, I am required to ship only to the buyer's address registered with Paypal. I charge only the actual cost of shipping. Because I cannot take responsibility for the packing job done by a seller who wants to return the accordion, I have a no return policy on accordions.SHIPPING is restricted to Canada and the USA, unless you want to pay 3-4 X the amount shown above.
