From the work bench of Wesley Baggett. What we have here is a hand made Amati violin made in Cremona  Italy with the label. The label reads(Nicolo Hieron. Amati Cremon. Faciebat Anno 1693). (the 93 is hand written it might say 98 very faded)The photos don't do it justice. it looks much nicer in person. Most violinist dreamed of owning a real Italian violin.  Amati is considered the father of the violin we know today. I don't know everything about violins but what I can tell you is looking at the wood in this violin  it is very, very, very old.  I believe this violin could be well over 300 years old or older.  The neck was reset. It also looks like the fingerboard was replaced. whoever did the work did a good job. only a trained eye could see that. ( You will see a small section of the side was replaced ware the side  meets the neck.  I checked the angle of the neck with my neck angle gage and it looks right.   There is an old crack repair under the chin rest. see photos. The bridge height is 1-3/16" the bridge thickness at the foot is .160"
It has new matching end pin, tail piece, and tuning pegs, with mother of pearl and gold accent. It has new evah pirazzi strings. The sound is amazing.  It has a worm yet strong vibrant sound with really great volume.

I didn't replace the bridge or sound post because I believe they are original and they fit perfect. Also on one of the points there is a chip missing. purely cosmetics.  (see photo)   It is fully lined  with 4 blocks inside of it.  Please ask questions and look at photos close. If it hadn't had so much work done on it the estimated value would be close to $10,000.00. I will be happy to answer any questions and send you any other photos you may want. just ask. (( If interested make me an offer. ))To here an example of this violin cut and paist the link below. https://youtu.be/bqLf1nUL-c8
PS. Don't judge my playing to harshly. Lol. I taught myself to play. PS PS. shipping cost is for world wide.
