bow by Louis Bazin - Tourte model, French violin bowsA fine French certified violin bow by François Bazin, Father - 1850 A beautiful French violin bow made by François Bazin - certified by Raffin in Paris. 1850 !François-Xavier Bazin (born 1824) was an important French archetier and master bow maker, and was the first of the Bazin dynasty. This beautiful masterpiece of a violin bow was made ca. 1850.
The very beautifull stick is masterly hand-decorated (very rare) and is made from the finest wood ( round shaped stick).
Elegant and refined typical design. The fine shaped head shows the Peccatte influences of the bow.
The total length of the stick is around 73 cm and the weight of the bow is around 60 gr.
