Up for your consideration is this vintage R.M. Malerne English Horn serial # 7252 made of what should be Grenadilla. I am not a woodwind expert, but I will do my best to describe this instrument. I purchased this at an estate sale where no one knew its history. The horn appears to be in very good condition. All pads are present, and all the springs feel lively. I have not attempted to assemble this instrument because I do not have any cork grease and do not want to cause any damage although they seem to be ok. There is no name on the Bocal. The only problem albeit minor is the protective ring that lines the edge of the bell / mouth. This has slipped and reattached itself. Again, I do not know what kind of glue this is and will leave the repair up to woodwind specialist. The horn should probably be checked over by a shop for optimal playbillity.
