Jut got this Telecaster from Rick Kelly of Carmine Street Guitars in NYC. Body is super-light pine from the Bowery, neck is super-light fir from the Chelsea Hotel. Guitar weighs less than 7 lbs. Body is matte black. Neck size is a big ol' "DD" with no truss rod. Everything about the guitar is stock and done by Mr. Rick Kelly. Premium features: $330 custom-order Fred Stuart Blackguard pickups specially wound for this guitar. Premium Glendale cold-rolled steel Blackguard bridge plate, control plate, press-in jack, Broadcaster saddles, and Broadcaster knobs all in the matte "raw deal" finish ($250 in hardware). Finally, it will include a nice molded Fender case. If it doesn't sell for a reasonable price during this 3-day auction, I'm going to replace these parts with standard parts and sell for less. With all the raw, matte parts the guitar looks something like an antique Harley Davidson. The guitar is very loud and resonant; it sustains forever. I recently found my dream Super Reverb and, as I already own a killer Tele, this one's gotta go before I grow attached to it. Avoid the two year+ wait. No buyers with less than 10 positive feedback on substantial items.
