Super rare original BJFE Deluxe Baby Blue Overdrive, serial number 4 of six originally made. In excellent condition save for a couple of very minor scratches on the one side and corner, and some nominal scratches on the bottom plate. Please refer to pix...overall it looks really great. This one is one of a kind and set up to get the most out of this already super killer and unique BBOD. I say that because I have owned quite a few BBOD's and they all sound different. None have had as much gain but also as musical as this one. Notes sing, push, blossom and bloom in a way that is like no other. Also there is plenty of bite and detail but without any harshness, or shrillness to be found. Just balanced and even in the most inspirational way. It's tight, together, focused and loose sounding all at once. Also records incredibly well and easily. Regarding how it's set up, it has a bass boost voicing switch that now doubles the sonic palette and both settings sound equally great. Along with that, the Treble knob is exceptionally voiced, especially between noon and full CW, offering a plethora of super useable settings depending on the amount of drive and what voicing you use. Additionally, the Baby Pink Booster side is wired to come on only when the BBOD is engaged, and the advantages to this are as follows. 1) it still allows the stock set up of the BBOD to be solo boosted by the BPB, but now only necessitating hitting one foot switch to completely disengage, so no worries of unnecessarily boosting anything else in line. 2) Since the BPB adds a wonderful dimensional sonic lift at unity gain, that could be pre-set, then engaged again by just one foot switch hit, or toggle between just the BBOD, or both, offering another voicing option. 3) Lastly, the "secret" setting where the Volume of the BBOD can now act as a Master Volume control to the post BPB side, and when you advance the volume of the BPB, it thickens the BBOD like a power amp in the most musical way, all without adding any unnecessary compression. It is a distinctly different and wickedly appealing flavor that adds to/expands the grind in a 3D way. This amazing sounding, super rare, one of kind sounding gem does not disappoint, and nothing sounds even close to this. Also, FWIW, there is no Bearfoot equivalent of the BBOD whatsoever... also,Bearfoot doesn't currently offer any kind of Deluxe version of anything in their line for that matter. This is truly a rare opportunity for someone who will have a supreme sounding, one of a kind Deluxe BBOD(impossible enough to find any DLX BBOD for that matter) that does not disappoint.
