This guitar was handbuilt by a great luthier, Stephen Holst, for me in 2015. The guitar has all the ingredients for a great gigging jazz guitar to make it sound really cool with that great jazz thump and swing. Its construction was made to minimize feedback by using a laminate top. This laminate top is handbuilt by Holst, it's not a commercially made top. I'm "thinning the herd" due to moving to a smaller place. The top and back are are bound with solid maple rims. The fingerboard, truss rod cover and pickguard are all in Macassar ebony. The tailpiece is West African ebony. Has Schaller locking tuners. Comes with a TKL hardshell case.It has been beatifully cared for. It doesn't have any scratches, dings, no issues whatsoever. Nothing is wrong with the guitar. The neck is more of a vintage Gibson neck, more on the fatter side. It's well setup, neck straight and the action is jazz-low. It's a joy to play. I haven't played it in any gigs, just played it in my studio. It also has a great acoustic sound, even though it's built to be electric. The specs:
Nut: 1 3/4"
Pickup: GFS Vintage '59 Humbucker
Scale: 25"
Lower Bout: 16"
Sides & Back: Laminate back and solid maple sides
Maple bindings on fingerboard and f-holes
