Description
Brand: Fender No. of Strings: 6 string

Ever wanted a to shred on a strat? Here’s your guitar! Very clean 1989 US made HM Strat in a rare Razz-berry finish! Comes with a double black Dimarzio “Super 3″ humbucker that sounds like an atom bomb, and two US single coil strat pickups. Seriously cool, seriously clean shredder from fender. Comes complete with the original Fender hard case. The Fender HM Strat was produced 1988 until 1992 (although some sources say production started as early as 1986). A relatively radical departure from Leo Fender's classic Stratocaster design, it was Fender's answer to Superstrats produced by manufacturers such as Ibanez and Jackson Guitars. This is a first version HM Strat given the distinct Strat logo in the headstock, 24 medium jumbo frets (i.e. these are thicker and wider frets), a maple neck with rosewood  fingerboard and with one of the four neck "bolts" (screws) off-set at the bottom of the neck to allow a more comfortable "heel" area for playing in the upper registers. The Guitar also features a basswood body.In the Oct '88 price list the HM Strat was priced at $669 ($589 for single humbucker) plus $100 for a case - which was actually $120 higher than the American Standard Strat w/case at $649. By the Nov '89 price list the price went up slightly to $799 (WITH case) for either the HSS, HS, or HH models. Overall the fender plays and sounds awesome. The neck is comfortable, the frets are full and the action is low. The pickups deliver a variety of killer sounds. Everything works as it should. This is a very clean example. Their is some very Minor Surface Swirling and clearcoat scratches, but nothing has broken the finish. A good looking guitar in excellent condition. Comes with original fender case. A super collectible and a Great investment opportunity.Serial Number: E952056Time of manufacture: 1989Place of manufacture: Corona, California Plant, USANeck Shape: Wide C shape Neck profileFingerboard: RosewoodFret Condition:  Virtually no Fret WearWeight: 7.11 PoundsAction: Professionally set-up Low actionOverall Condition: "Excellent Condition" Colour: Razz-berryOriginality: 100% Original.Dings, Scratches, other: Their is some very Minor Surface Swirling and clearcoat scratches, but nothing has broken the finish.. - Please See Pictures Below.
