Vintage 1960's All Tube Amp! Made In USA!
This is really cool. You are looking at a Vintage 1960's Silvertone Model 1484 Twin Twelve Piggyback Tube Amp. Built by Danelectro for Sears Silvertone, these amps were in production from 1963 to 1967. These are AWESOME Tube Amps with a lot of TONE. These amps are known for that trashy '60s kind of tone. Notable players are Jack White and "Beck" who use these live at their shows. Countless recording studios use these as one of their ultimate recording amps.From The Web:Silvertone's 1484 Twin Twelve is a 60W 6L6-based tube amp, originally sold in a "piggyback" configuration through the Sears catalog from 1963 - 1967. Similar in sound and function to blackface Fender Bassman amps, but with additional features -- a strong, vibe-dripping tremolo and a reverb that...well...let's just say the reverb exists. At the end of the gig or session, the head tucks into the bottom of the cabinet for ease of transport.***Rebuilt Reverb Circuit***Our Amp Tech, rebuilt the Reverb Circuit so it actually functions correctly! The Reverb in these Dano built Silvertone amps have always been weak. Not this one. The reverb is lush and creamy. Sounds fantastic. You will not be disappointed!Original 12" Jensen Speakers. A Real "TONE MONSTER"Everything functions and works fine. Our Amp Tech gave this a major service. Gig Ready on Arrival. You will not have to spend any additional monies on this amp.Affordable USA Vintage Tube Amp that is great for gigging as well as for recording. Hardwired to the cabinet, the Head stores in the cabinet making it very easy for transport. This is a "Players" amp. It has been used. There are lots of battle scars. Not a museum piece. The Sound is off the chart.

Cosmetics: Good "Relic" Condition. Keep in mind that this is a 50+ year old amp. There is some wear on this amp which just lends to it's credibility. There are scratches, scuffs and tears in the tolex. Some pitting, scratching and light rust on metallic parts. Grill cloth is faed and stained. Very Authentic. Dripping with "Mojo" It is used. Not perfect. Look at the pictures closely. They will tell the story.
