For your consideration is an original 1966 FENDER SUPER REVERB, model AB763 and serial number "A 16384". It is date coded "PK" for 1966 Nov. This has it's original matched quad of Fender labeled CTS AlNiCo speakers dated,("C 9 65"), with original cones and wiring. The pre-amp is a mixture of big name brand old stock tubes, (Mullard, Telefunken, RCA tubes). The power amp has the Tungsol 6L6GC STR, bias set at 36 mA @ 465 vdc plate voltage. The screen protection resistors & voltage divider resistors have been replaced due to drifting. The surge and filter caps have been replaced with Sprauge Atoms. The bias cap and diode have been replaced. The reverb pan and bag are original and dated 1966. The transformer numbers are; power 022798 dated 606618 csa test, output 022855 dated 606617, choke 022699, dated 606-6-40, reverb trans, 022921 dated 606621. The rectifier is a Mullard 5AR4/GZ34 rebranded RCA. The chassis is very clean and very original. This is a very nice original amp. The bottom right rear corner has been worn through the tolex, see last picture. That is really the only negative keeping this from being an honest 9/10. This Super Reverb comes with the original footswitch and a newer fender super reverb cover. We can also install NOS RCA 6L6GC's as an upgrade. The cost for the RCA tubes is $199.99 installed.
