Up for grabs is a one owner Vintage 1960 Gretsch 6124 Single Anniversary guitar....Purchased from the family of the original owner who passed away...In very nice original condition for being 56 years old...Does show some minor nicks, dings, finish checks but nothing very bad at all...Neck is straight and frets look good. Binding is all tight as is the neck joint.....My guitar tech went over this and did a setup to make sure she's ready to play...Structurally very solid also...Comes in the original hardshell case with some original paperwork. Case shows its age lock doesn't work and one latch is broke but still shuts tight and protects the guitar...This guitar is extremely clean for its age!  Comments Gretsch introduced the Anniversary model in 1958 to celebrate their 75th year in business, and it was produced until 1975 (for the last four years as the 7560). Gretsch re-introduced it as the 6118 for the 120th Anniversary, and it's still in production.Intended as a lower cost alternative to the 6120, the Anniversary originally had a pair of Filter 'Tron pickups and an ebony fingerboard, but by 1960 was given single-coil Hi-Lo 'Tron pickups and a rosewood fingerboard. The Single Anniversary model, shown here, has one pickup. This 1960 Gretsch 6124 Single Anniversary is in good playing and visual condition, with original hardware and case.Built during 1960 at the Gretsch facility at 60 Broadway, Brooklyn, New York.Pricing $1,350.00 CAD with original case.Neck Maple neck with unbound rosewood fingerboard, mother of pearl 'neo-classic' position markers. Anniversary Model plaque on headstock. 24.5 inch scale length,FretsOriginal frets with some play wear.Body The 6124 Anniversary model body is very similar to the 6120. Maple laminate top, back and sides with tone bars and bridge post, larger unbound F-holes. Single layer binding. 16 inches wide, 2.5 inches deep.Finish Original nitrocellulose lacquer finish in sunburst -- the sunburst and single pickup give the 6124 designation. Finish is in very good condition, with no play wear on the neck, and on the back.Hardware/electronics Original open-gear tuners and G-cutout tailpiece. Original single Hi-Lo 'Tron pickup (hence the name, Single Anniversary), tone switch and volume control. Space Control bridge with ebony base, with height adjustment wheels. I am not a music store just a middle aged guy who loves guitars. I use to play drums and guitar until I broke my neck in a diving accident in 1991. Left me a quad in a wheelchair for the long haul...Can't move my fingers anymore to play. I really enjoy buying, selling and trading guitars as a hobby to give me something to do...Also get to meet some great people along ther way....Wish I could still play but hey I can still look and love them right...If you decide to buy one of my guitars you can rest assure it will be as described...keep rockin'God Bless, Greg
