Description

For sale is an excellent vintage tube amplifier from Epiphone. Manufactured in Kalamazoo, MI by Epiphone's parent company Gibson, this early 60's (probably 1963-64) tube powered amplifier is an absolute sleeper. This amp is identical to the very desired Gibson GA-19RVT Falcon, which has a near identical schematic to the famed blackface Fender Princeton Reverb, but includes a 12" speaker for a little bit more push and bigger tone. Powered by 2 6V6 tubes, this amplifier puts out about 15 watts of loud and lush sound. Tonally it's brilliant, with a nice rounded bottom end that is quite pronounced and great bell like chime in the higher registers. The 12" speaker really lets this amplifier breathe, and as you push it to overdriving it maintains it's tone and definition incredibly well. This amp also has a great swirling reverb and fantastic vibrato. Cosmetically in good condition, with some wear and tear on the tolex and grille cloth, as well as oxidation on the faceplate and internals. The original speaker has been swapped out for a Warehouse G12Q. This is a near perfect studio or small gigging amplifier, delivering delicious classic tones without breaking the bank.
