Estimated price for orientation: 3 099 $
Category: Electric Guitar
Class:
Description Brand: Ibanez String Configuration: 6 String Model: JEM
1988 Ibanez JEM777 SK (Shocking Pink), made in Japan in good/very good condition. The guitar is 99% percent original, the only thing i know of that has been replaced are the strap pins which are cheap and easy to replace if so desired. The guitar has been signed in two places by legendary guitarist Steve Vai (signature would be easy to remove if desired). The body retains it's original shocking pink finish and it's condition is in very good shape with only one small ding on the bottom edge near the output jack cavity, and one very small nick in the clear near the trem cavity on the bass side...both pictured. I also took photos of the guitar disassembled so all cavities could be seen, as well as the neck pocket, under the pickguard, electronics, etc....as these areas are the best way to verify authenticity and ensure no repaint or replaced parts, etc. There is one neck pocket crack on the bass side and no crack on the treble side; neck pocket cracks are common with Ibanez bolt on necks. The original finish on the fretboard is almost completely intact, minor wear through around the second and forth frets. The frets are also great with plenty of life left and show major wear and no indentations. The bridge is the original edge tremolo, and the cosmo finish is very good to excellent...which is unusal because cosmo of this age usually tarnishes and pits. The color on the guitar is good but shows slight faded when comparing to one i sold recently that had absolutely zero fade. It is not badly faded (sometimes they appear orange in color)...it's still a nice light/medium pink color but do want to disclose that it has faded a little (tough color to photograph..think pepto bismol). The is further evidence that the guitar has not been repainted. There is the common crack at the locking nut, which commonly happened with older ibanez if people over tightened the locking nut bolts. This was been repaired and is stable and don't think it will get any bigger since it was repaired. It should not affect playabilty or tuning stability, i believe it's just asthetic at this point. Aside from this really the only other thing to point out is some normal pickguard swirls from playing as to be expected from a guitar of this age. The guitar comes with it's tremolo arm and will ship in an Ibanez M100C case. While i've tried my best to describe the guitar and take photos from as many angles as possible, please don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions or need additional information or pictures. While this is an really clean and rare original guitar it is 30 years old so i want to make sure the buyer is happy, so please don't hesitate to reach out with questions. The guitar will be packed well and fully insured. I usually ship within a couple of days after receiving payment. International buyers are welcome but please inquire about shipping costs as they will vary. The international rate i put on the listing is just a placeholder and rough estimate.Best offer option is enabled on the auction so please feel free to send me an offer. I do have the guitar listed elsewhere and reserve the right to end the auction early if i get a good offer on the guitar here or elsewhere. I will respond to all offers and inquiries. Thanks for looking.
