Up for auction is a vintage bassoon made by Heckel in Biebrich,Germany. Its serial number 4074 dates it back to 1899.It comes with a Heckel bocal stamped as in the pictures. The bocal has two patches. The bassoon shows the signs of use and previous repairs as one would expect from a nearly 120 years old instrument.Still looks and feels healthy and solid, with plenty of years left ahead if restored back to its former glory. One of the left thumb keys is broken, but it's included. It's been auctioned here "as is", because I understand it deserves a full restoration job.I'm a professional musician, but as a horn player my knowledge when it comes to bassoons is quite limited. Though, if you got any questions or requests for specific/better shots of the instrument, please don't hesitate to contact me. I will do my best to answer as good as I can or ask for help from any of my bassoon player colleagues.I will ship it worldwide and pack it carefully prior shipping. The bassoon is located in Gothenburg, Sweden for trials or local pick up.
