Marsyas K4404. Treble in Plum wood, Baroque Double Holes. MARSYAS is an independent make of recorder. They are instruments which are close to the baroque sound ideal. They have a very light response (easy top register) and are very popular with amateur players for this reason. The recorders were developed by Heinz Ammann, Wollerau, and are manufactured at Küng Recorders, tuned and finished by hand by Christoph Trescher. Soprano, alto and tenor are available in various woods including exotic woods. The MARSYAS instruments are purposely designed according to baroque models because dynamic playing and effortless response are then possible in all registers.During the tuning process we take special care to ensure a colorful, clear sound and a balanced pitch. The unmistakable outer shape, which was exclusively designed for MARSYAS recorders, is a particularly attractive and elegant detail. This particular instrument is noted for its elegant tone.
