Restrung, soundboard repaired and resurfaced, and cabinet refinishedThis Steinway M is from 1927 and was made in the Hamburg Germany factory. It was restored in 1990. Action was totally redone, and the piano was restrung, and the cabinet refinished. The soundboard was shimmed, as you can see in the photos. The shims are still tight, as are the ribs. No further cracks are in the soundboard. Piano is in excellent playable condition. Cosmetically, the piano is gorgeous. There are a few dings and chips on the side of the piano, but are not very noticeable. The piano is extremely playable as it sits! We have tuned it to A-440 concert pitch, and the action is lightning fast. The piano does NOT need restoration, so please don't let the low price fool you.
