I recycle many pianos, but this is one of the most beautiful and unique ones that has crossed my musical path. This is a very special upright grand piano. That's why it sounds so rich and gorgeous.. It was made in Chicago the home of the blues, in 1911. The mind boggles as to who may have played this stunning instrument? How did it end up in oz? And how has it been kept in such great condition for 115 YEARS. The answer? Love. This piano has been loved. The other rare attribute which may seem small to some, is that I have the original key that locks it. (Probably to stop over eager children - who are now great grandparents - from banging on it! Haha) I have had a piano identical to this one for years. I loved the look and sound of it so much I refused to sell it, as the sound was so perfect for me. Now I have found another! By the way I only know of three in existence. Two are here in Victoria, and the other is in qld. (If you are interested I have the number for the qld cable, which also includes delivery) It has such a warm sound (as hopefully you'll be able to hear on the short demo I've posted). I'd love to know how it ended up here, but that's just part of the mystery of these wonderful antique pianos. It's over 100 years old and the cabinet is in incredible condition with very minor marks (my skin will have a few more when I am 115 years old) As the photos show, another unusual feature of this lovely instrument is the four pedals. They are all working too! As per all my pianos, it has been checked over by my tuner, and given the all clear. You can see by my FB I am an honest seller. I also like to keep my conscience clear. I can't sell you a piano that I wouldn't want myself. As you can see there is no damage to the inside - no cracks, no rust etc.. and the keys are original with no discolouration. It looks beautiful open or closed. Opening it just makes the sound carry further (similar to a normal grand piano) These pianos are very rare, so this is truly a bargain. I have only come across two of these in eight years! (And trust me, I see three pianos each week). I need to move this beloved Cable to make room, you are getting a bargain. It's pretty much in tune now, but may need a tune down the track once it is moved. It has held its tune extremely well, so tuning it certainly won't be an expensive recurring excersize . It's such a rare joy to find a gem like this (most families keep them as heirlooms.) These beautiful pianos are becoming extremely rare! So grab it while you can!
