Lidl F/Bb Full Double French Horn in Very Good Condition with Mouthpiece & Case
Estimated price for orientation: 549 $
Category: French Horns
Class:
Description Type: Double Horn Finish: Amber Lacquered Country/Region of Manufacture: Czech Republic Bell Material: Brass Brand: Lidl
A full double F/Bb French Horn, made by the excellent Josef Lidl company of Brno. The serial number is 29921. These are designed for the student, amateur and improving player. They blow well. They are a good deal lighter than the older Lidl doubles, which could be something of a handful! This one is in unusually very good condition. These horns often lead a pretty hard life, but this is a modern one and has clearly been looked after extremely carefully from new. I had to look very carefully to see any scratches or other signs of wear. There are a few light marks, but nothing of substance, and certainly nothing to worry about. It is dent-free. The rotor valves move smoothly and the slides all slide nicely. I have given it a good service before listing. It was previously and recently serviced by All Brass and Woodwind, Leeds. Any inspection is welcome, of course, prior to buying, at my home in Bridlington East Yorkshire YO16 6YU.
Postage by tracked Parcelforce or free collection in person. Cash on collection preferred, PayPal, Postal Orders or a cleared cheque welcome for buyers using a delivery service. UPS one-day service, fully insured for total value, tracked also offered. The mouthpiece bears the number 11, but I cannot see a maker's name. I found it was better with this horn than any of the Dennis Wick mouthpieces I had, sizes 4, 5 or 6. The case is good and protective, though not new. New cases can be had cheaply for Gear4 Music, around £39 if required. I am used to shipping horns and will pack it up very carefully to avoid damage in transit. I am not prepare to ship abroad, sorry.
