1964 VOX AC30/6 in high quality, non-original, vintage AC30 cabinet. The amp's electronics were recently gone thru and updated completely in 2014. Speakers were replaced with broken in Celestion Blue Alnico's and a three way ground plug was added. It has had less than 10 hours of play time since and has been stored in a professional road case in a climate controlled warehouse.
The cabinet has a great vintage-worn vibe. It's 100% solid and a quality replacement. The back plate on the cab is missing so, not sure of the year or make of the cabinet. The electronics are 100% and were thoroughly gone thru and updated by CES in Fort Collins in 2014 (service receipt included). All channels and inputs work perfectly. All controls work. The footswitch works. Tonally, it's just what you'd imagine and have heard on literally thousands of recordings. It chimes and snarls a little with a decent pick attack. Turn up your guitar and you're rewarded with that one of a kind, classic UAC30 overdrive. There are no active tone controls. Everything runs off the volume knobs. Very organic. Crank it up to around 6 or 7 and use your guitars tone and volume controls to dial up every vintage tone under the sun.
Lots of folks consider 1964 to be the Holy Grail year for Jennings / JMI and AC30's in general. This amp is like money in the bank and should only increase in value as it ages.
