The concertina is in the treble range (from G below middle C, to C three octaves above middle C).
Falling within the "dear years" and "lost years" period of the Wheatstone company, this Ebony ended concertina has unique fretwork, and has a full rich tone. The instrument shows only very minor cosmetic blemishes and is in perfect playing condition. The bellows are in excellent shape, all buttons are responsive, and all reeds are in perfect pitch. Two of the reeds currently have a piece of lint inhibiting the reeds from producing a clear tone, but it is an easy fix for someone familiar with playing and servicing these instruments. This concertina was completely looked over and serviced by the Button Box in 2013. Before I owned it, this concertina was a part of the collection at Barleycorn Concertinas in England. I had it imported to the US when I purchased it.I am located in the Western United States and will be traveling from Montana to California in a couple of weeks. I might be able to bring the instrument to you for an in-person trial and delivery if you are within this part of the country.
