Selmer Paris Tenor Mark VI ORIGINAL OWNER NEARMINT Serial #76,904 made in France 1958This BEAUTIFUL Mark VI Tenor was purchased brand new in New York City in 1958. It was purchased by the original owner's parents for him while he was in high school. He used it through high school (only indoors) and has played it from time to time since then, for personal enjoyment at home. It was never a gigging instrument. He took EXCELLENT care of this instrument, always wiping it down and handling it properly, as is evidenced in the photos. Not only is it in top cosmetic condition, it is in TOP PLAYING CONDITION. It has been maintained/overhauled from a highly regarded sax specialist/repairman in Rochester, NY., who does work for the Eastman School of Music students and faculty, and members of the RPO. There are NO alterations/adjustments in the horn. It is the ORIGINAL LACQUER, and ALL fixtures/parts are original. The lacquer finish has almost no wear and has only little evidence of pitting.  The lower thumb rest and the lower Eb pinky key has slight common surface wear. Key finishes and pearls are all nearmint. No wear on bell front or under bell lip from the stand. The body, bell interior, exterior, and the bottom of the bow are in amazing shape. It was never damaged and there are NO dents or dings. The neck is serial numbered matching the body, and in high quality condition with fresh mouthpiece cork. The neck has slight surface wear on top from common handling and age. The horn still has the original wooden/cork tenon plug. The case is the ORIGINAL SELMER, compatible with the tripack if you own or want to use a clarinet and flute case inside. Original chain tenor neck strap, and in it's original Selmer case. Original Selmer Paris Soloist D tenor mouthpiece (made in France/beautiful condition), ligature and cap (all Selmer France stamped) are included. The zipper, handles, stitching, corners, Selmer emblem/tag and surface on the tenor case are all fully intact, in fantastic condition with little or no wear. The sax/clarinet stand was purchased at this time also, and is included. He even kept the original Selmer chamois cloth and it's Selmer case! All of this again, a testament to his meticulous care of the instruments. As a professional player, I have played and seen a LOT of horns and I have NEVER seen a MARK VI of this era, in this fine of condition, having been cared for and kept so well!!! If you were to go back in time to 1958 and walk into a music store and buy a demo Mark VI tenor from them, this is that horn.   I have play tested, examined, and closely inspected this instrument just prior to this ad being placed. This Mark VI is free blowing in ALL registers with a big sound and great projection. The entirety of this VI really responds and speaks well. It's a real beauty. The action is smooth and solid.  This instrument is acknowledged as a RARE & FANTASTIC FIND!!!It is for the serious collector and/or musician. There will be a new owner and very very happy new owner.PROFESSIONAL SHIPPING with case interior packing to prevent internal horn and key movement during shipping. With tracking/insurance/signed receipt, included in the listed shipping price.  As an added note: I realize that you know that ebay will receive 10% of the total, and paypal another 3% of the sale/money received by the seller which comes out of the seller's account.
